STOP . CHECK . VERIFY
Fraudsters can use calls, texts, emails and social media to trick you into handing over money or personal information.
Stop- Don't feel pressured to act imediately. Check - Be cautious of unexpected messages, links or requests for money. Verify- Contact the organisation directly using a trusted phone number or official websites.
x Never share your PIN, password or one- time securtiy codes. x Never transfer money because someone tells you it is needed to keep your account “safe” x Don't click on links or download attachments if you unsure where they came from.
If something doesn't feel right, stop and check before you act. Please share this advice with friends, family and neighbours who may be more vulnerable to fraud.
